Daily Log Settings

PepTrac lets you fully customize what you track in your daily logs. The Daily Log Settings screen is where you add, remove, and configure what health data you want to track.


Accessing Daily Log Settings

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Daily Log Settings.
  3. Your trackable items are organized by categories like:
  4. Physical Health
  5. Mental Health
  6. Sleep & Recovery
  7. Digestive Health
  8. User Defined (your custom items)
  9. And more...

  10. Each category shows items with:

  11. Name of the item
  12. Toggle to enable/disable tracking
  13. When enabled, additional details appear (units, ranges, input types)

  14. At the bottom of the screen:

  15. Add Custom Log Setting button (always visible)
  16. Delete Custom Log Setting button (appears when you have custom items)

  17. At the top right, use Select All or Deselect All to quickly toggle all items.

  18. All changes save automatically and take effect immediately.


Adding a Custom Log Setting

  1. Tap the "Add Custom Log Setting" button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter a Setting Name (e.g., "Blood Pressure" or "Joint Pain").
  3. Choose an Input Type:
  4. Rating Scale (1-10): For general ratings
  5. Measurement: For numeric values with units
  6. Severity (0-5): For symptom severity tracking
  7. Yes/No: For boolean tracking
  8. If you selected Measurement:
  9. Toggle "Has Unit" if your metric uses units
  10. Enter the unit (e.g., "mmHg", "lbs", "hours")
  11. Optionally set minimum value, maximum value, and step value
  12. Tap Save.
    Your new setting appears in the "User Defined" category and is enabled by default.

Note: To delete custom log settings, return to the Daily Log Settings screen and tap the "Delete Custom Log Setting" button that appears below the Add button.

Deleting Custom Log Settings

  1. The "Delete Custom Log Setting" button only appears when you have user-defined items.
  2. Tap the delete button (it has a warning/red color to distinguish it from the add button).
  3. Select the custom item you want to delete from the picker.
  4. Tap Delete to confirm.
  5. The item is immediately removed from your log settings.

Note: You can only delete items you've created. Built-in items cannot be deleted.

All custom items appear in the "User Defined" category, making them easy to find and manage.


How Changes Affect Logging

  • Only enabled items appear in the log entry form.
  • Changes take effect immediately—no need to restart the app.

Troubleshooting

  • Not seeing your new item?
    Make sure it's enabled (toggle is on).
  • Can't delete a built-in item?
    Built-in items can be disabled but not deleted.
