Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your command center in PepTrac. It shows your most important information at a glance and lets you quickly complete common tasks without navigating through multiple screens.

Understanding Your Dashboard

Shots Section

The Shots section always appears first and cannot be reordered.

Status Badges appear at the top showing counts for Completed, Scheduled, Late, and Skipped shots. Tap any badge to jump to the Shots view filtered to that status. When all your shots are done, you'll see "You're all set for today!" with a shimmer animation.

The dashboard displays all of today's shots sorted by scheduled time. Each shot shows:

  • Peptide name in large text (or preparation name for multi-peptide preparations)
  • Protocol name underneath
  • Dosage amount in a badge (e.g., "0.25 mg")
  • Delivery units for preparation-based shots
  • Scheduled time with AM/PM indicator (☀️ for morning, 🌙 for evening)
  • Color-coded status badge:
  • Red "Missed" - overdue by more than 2 hours
  • Blue "Scheduled" - upcoming shot
  • Green "Completed" - already administered
  • Orange "Skipped" - intentionally skipped

Preparation Shots: If a shot uses a preparation with multiple peptides, it appears as a single grouped row showing the preparation name and all included peptides. One swipe completes all peptides in the preparation.

Missed Shots Indicator: If you have missed shots from previous days, a red badge appears on the bottom navigation bar. Tap it to go to the Shots view filtered to show only missed shots.

No Shots Today: If you have no shots scheduled for today, the dashboard shows "No shots scheduled for today".

Completing Shots with Swipes

The dashboard makes it easy to log shots without leaving the main screen:

Swipe Right → Complete Swipe any scheduled or missed shot to the right to mark it as completed. You'll see a green checkmark appear as you swipe. The shot immediately moves to completed status.

Swipe Left → Skip
Swipe any scheduled or missed shot to the left to skip it. You'll see an orange skip icon appear. This is useful when you intentionally miss a dose.

Important: You can only swipe scheduled or missed shots. Already completed or skipped shots cannot be swiped.

Peptide Level Tracking Section

The Peptide Level Tracking section shows your estimated peptide levels for peptides with level tracking enabled.

Each tracked peptide appears as a card with its name, current estimated level, and threshold range. A green checkmark means you're in range. If your level drops below the minimum, the card shows a yellow warning labeled "LOW". If it's above the maximum, you'll see a red warning labeled "HIGH". The card also shows a time estimate: "Good for [time]" when you're in range, "At low end of range" when you're near the minimum, or "Normal in [time]" when you're above maximum and waiting for the level to come down.

Out-of-range peptides always appear first. Configure how many cards display (1-10) in Settings → Dashboard Layout.

When a peptide is LOW, the card shows a dose recommendation (e.g., "Dose 0.5 mg to optimal") and an Add Shot button that pre-fills the calculated amount. This button doesn't appear during the 30-minute grace period after logging a shot.

Tap any card to open the full Peptide Level Tracking view. If no peptides have level tracking enabled, you'll see instructions for enabling it.

Daily Logs Section

Shows your most recent daily log entry with:

  • Date and time of the entry
  • Preview of logged metrics and symptoms
  • "Go to Daily Logs" button to see all entries

If you haven't logged anything yet, this section encourages you to start tracking.

Active Protocols Section

The section header shows "Active Protocols" with a count of your active protocols. Tapping the header navigates to the Protocols screen.

Each active protocol appears as a card showing:

  • Protocol name
  • Start date and end date (or a "Freeform" badge for freeform protocols)
  • Auto-Renew icon if enabled
  • For auto-renew protocols past cycle 1: "Originally started [date]" and "Cycle [N]"
  • "Ending Soon" badge — the same yellow warning that appears on protocol cards in the Protocols tab. It shows when a non-auto-renew protocol is approaching its end date, giving you time to plan ahead. See Protocols View for details on timing.

For structured protocols, the card lists your upcoming doses with the peptide or preparation name and formatted time (e.g., "Today 9 AM", "Tomorrow 3 PM", "Thu 9 AM"). For freeform protocols, it shows "Total Shots Logged" with a count and "Last Dose" with the time.

Analytics Preview

If you've created any analytics charts, the most recent one appears as a preview image. Tap to open the full Analytics section.

Bottom Navigation Bar

The dashboard uses three main navigation buttons at the bottom:

Menu Button (Left) Tapping the ☰ icon opens a menu showing all app sections:

  • Dashboard (current screen)
  • Protocols - Manage all your treatment schedules
  • Shots - See all past and future shots in one place
  • Peptide Level Tracking - View your estimated peptide levels
  • Analytics - View charts and graphs of your progress
  • Daily Logs - Track symptoms and health metrics
  • Settings - Configure app preferences
  • Help - Access in-app documentation (coming soon)

Tap any item to go directly to that section.

Plus Button (Center) The + button opens quick actions menu:

  • Add Protocol - Start a new treatment schedule
  • Add Shot - Log a one-off shot outside your protocols
  • Add Daily Log - Record symptoms and metrics

This keeps your most common actions one tap away.

Settings Gear (Right) Takes you directly to Settings where you can configure notifications, units, Apple Health sync, and more.

Interactive Elements

Tapping Shots Tap any shot in the dashboard to go to the Shots view and open the edit screen for that specific shot. This lets you view details, edit the shot, or make changes without scrolling through all your shots.

Section Buttons The dashboard sections include "Go to" buttons:

  • "Go to Shots" - Opens the complete shots list
  • "Go to Protocols" - Takes you to protocol management
  • "Go to Daily Logs" - Opens your daily log entries

These buttons appear at the bottom of each respective section when you have data to display.

Special Features

Status Indicators

The dashboard uses color-coded badges to show shot status at a glance:

  • Blue badge = Scheduled (upcoming)
  • Red badge = Missed (overdue)
  • Green = Completed (shown briefly after swiping)
  • Orange = Skipped (shown briefly after swiping)

Time Display

Shots show their scheduled time with helpful indicators:

  • ☀️ Sun icon = Morning shot (AM)
  • 🌙 Moon icon = Evening shot (PM)
  • Exact time displayed (e.g., "8:00 AM")
  • Date shown for clarity

What Shows in the Shot List

The dashboard only displays scheduled and late shots as cards - these are the ones you need to act on. Completed and skipped shots are counted in the status badges at the top but don't appear in the list. Shots are sorted by scheduled time, then alphabetically by peptide name if times match.

Customizing Your Dashboard

Go to Settings → Dashboard Layout to personalize your dashboard:

Section Order - Drag to rearrange sections. The Shots section always stays first and cannot be moved.

Section Visibility - Toggle sections on or off. You can hide Peptide Level Tracking, Daily Log, Active Protocols, or Analytics if you don't need them on your dashboard.

Peptide Level Tracking Card Limit - Choose how many peptide level cards appear (1-10) before showing a "View All" link.

Reset to Default - Restore the original dashboard layout.

Tips for Using the Dashboard

Quick Shot Logging Instead of navigating to the Shots section, use swipe gestures right from the dashboard. This saves time for your daily routine.

Morning Routine Check the dashboard first thing to see any overnight missed shots and what's scheduled for the day.

Pull to Refresh Pull down from the top of the dashboard to refresh all data. This reloads your shots, protocols, and status counts with the latest information from the database.

Stay Current The dashboard only shows today's information. For future scheduling or history, use the dedicated Shots or Protocols sections.

Note: When you first start using PepTrac, the dashboard will be mostly empty. Create your first preparation and protocol to see it come to life with your personalized schedule.
