Peptide Level Tracking

PepTrac can estimate how much of each peptide remains in your system based on your shot history, each peptide's half-life, and your personal metabolism settings. The Peptide Level Tracking view gives you a real-time view of these estimates so you can time your doses effectively.

Enabling Peptide Level Tracking

Level tracking is configured per-peptide when setting up your protocol. See Peptide Level Tracking in the Protocols docs for detailed instructions on enabling tracking and setting thresholds.

Once enabled for at least one peptide, you'll see cards in this view and on the Dashboard.

The Peptide Level Tracking View

Access this view by tapping ☰ More in the bottom navigation bar, then selecting Peptide Level Tracking.

Peptide Cards

Each tracked peptide displays as a card showing:

  • Peptide name and protocol name
  • Thresholds - Your configured min and max values with units
  • Current Level - The estimated amount currently in your system
  • Threshold Bar - A visual indicator showing where your level falls:
  • Yellow zone: Below your minimum (too low)
  • Green zone: Between min and max (therapeutic range)
  • Red zone: Above your maximum (too high)
  • A marker shows your exact position on the bar

Status Messages

The card tells you what's happening with your levels:

When levels are in range:

Message Meaning
"Good for X hours" How long until you'll drop below minimum
"At low end of range" You're safe but approaching your minimum

When levels are low:

Message Meaning
"Below minimum threshold by X mg" How far below your target
"Dose X mg to reach optimal level" Recommended dose to bring you back into range

An Add Shot button also appears when your level is low (see Actions below).

When levels are high:

Message Meaning
"Above maximum threshold by X mg" How far above your target
"Normal in X hours" When levels will return to range

After taking a shot:

Message Meaning
"Level rising" Shown while the peptide absorbs after logging a shot

Out-of-range peptides always appear first so you can see what needs attention.

Actions

Each card has action buttons:

  • Add Shot - Only appears when your level is LOW and you're not in the 30-minute grace period after a recent shot. Tap to open Add Shot with the optimal dose pre-filled.
  • Edit - Opens the protocol so you can adjust thresholds or other settings
  • Delete (trash icon) - Removes level tracking for this peptide (doesn't delete the peptide itself)

Peptide Level Tracking on the Dashboard

The Dashboard shows a condensed version of your peptide level cards in the Peptide Level Tracking section.

What Each Card Shows

  • Peptide name
  • Current level with units (e.g., "2.5 mg")
  • Threshold range (e.g., "0.5-3.0")
  • Status indicator:
  • Green checkmark - Level is in range
  • Yellow warning with "LOW" - Below minimum threshold
  • Red warning with "HIGH" - Above maximum threshold
  • Status text showing time until threshold crossing

Add Shot from Dashboard

When a peptide shows LOW status, the card displays: - A dose recommendation (e.g., "Dose 0.5 mg to optimal") - An Add Shot button that pre-fills the calculated dose

This button doesn't appear during the 30-minute grace period after you log a shot.

Customizing the Dashboard Section

Go to Settings → Dashboard Layout to: - Show or hide the Peptide Level Tracking section - Set how many cards display (1-10, default is 3) - If you have more tracked peptides than your limit, a "View All" link appears

How Levels Are Calculated

PepTrac uses pharmacokinetic modeling to estimate your levels:

  1. Each shot you log adds to your estimated level
  2. Levels decay over time based on the peptide's half-life
  3. Your metabolism factor adjusts how quickly levels decay (if configured)
  4. Injection site affects absorption speed (if site tracking is enabled):
  5. Abdomen: Fastest absorption
  6. Thighs: Normal absorption
  7. Arms/Glutes: Slower absorption

Important: These are estimates based on general pharmacokinetic principles. They're useful for timing doses but shouldn't replace medical guidance or lab testing.

Optimal Dose Recommendations

When your level is below minimum, PepTrac calculates an optimal dose to bring you to the middle of your therapeutic range:

  1. Calculates the midpoint between your min and max thresholds
  2. Determines how much peptide you need to reach that midpoint
  3. Converts to your delivery units (IU, Units, or mL)
  4. Rounds appropriately (whole numbers for IU/Units)

The Add Shot button pre-fills this calculated amount, but you can adjust it before saving.

Same Peptide Across Multiple Protocols

If you use the same peptide in multiple protocols, PepTrac combines all shots when calculating your level. This gives you an accurate total systemic amount regardless of which protocol the shots came from.
