Getting Started with PepTrac

Welcome to PepTrac! This guide will help you get started with using the app.

What is PepTrac?

PepTrac is a comprehensive iOS application designed to help you:

  • Track peptide medications and treatment protocols
  • Record specific preparations (reconstitution formulas) for each peptide or blend
  • Track blends that include more than one peptide as a single shot
  • Calculate estimated levels in real time
  • Monitor injection sites and absorption rates
  • Set intelligent reminders for doses
  • Track health metrics and symptoms
  • Analyze your treatment progress with detailed charts

First Time Setup

When you first launch PepTrac, you'll go through a quick and painless onboarding process:

  1. Welcome & Disclaimer - Introduction and important medical/legal information
  2. Health Data Integration - Connect with Apple Health for height/weight syncing
  3. Unit Preferences - Choose metric or imperial measurements
  4. Notification Options - Privacy & lead time
  5. Injection Site Rotation - Optional site rotation setup
  6. Restore from Backup - If you have existing iCloud data
  7. Completion - Ready to use PepTrac!

After Setup: Your Dashboard

Once onboarding is complete, you'll see the PepTrac dashboard - your main command center for managing your peptide therapy. The dashboard provides:

  • Overview of active protocols and upcoming shots
  • Quick actions to add protocols, shots, or daily logs
  • Progress tracking and key statistics
  • Easy navigation to all sections of the app

New users will see a mostly empty dashboard until you create your first protocol. Don't worry - this is normal! Learn more about your dashboard.

Key Concepts

Preparations

A Preparation represents a specific peptide reconstitution. Preparations are associated with protocols, ensuring accurate dosing calculations and consistency across your tracking.

A Preparation includes:

  • The container type (vial or pen)
  • One or more peptides (single or blended)
  • The reconstitution formula (amount of liquid added)
  • The volume needed to reach the target dosage, displayed in mL, units, or IU

Protocols

A protocol is your treatment plan. It defines:

  • Which peptide(s) you're taking
  • Dosage amounts and units
  • Administration schedule
  • Duration and renewal settings

Shots

Individual doses within your protocols. Each shot can be:

  • Completed on time
  • Marked as skipped
  • Automatically marked as missed
  • Tracked with injection site information

Daily Logs

Track your health metrics and symptoms to monitor treatment effectiveness.

Analytics

Compare estimated peptide levels with your logged symptoms and metrics over time through interactive graphs.

Quick Start Guide

Create Your First Preparation

  1. Tap the Quick Action button (+) in the navigation bar and select Add Preparation.
  2. Configure your preparation:
    • Enter a Preparation Name
    • Select your Container Type (Vial or Pen)
    • Choose the Dosing Units to display with your shots (mL, units, or IU)
    • Add one or more Peptides to include in your reconstitution
    • Enter the amount of BAC Water added
  3. Tap Save Preparation

Create Your First Protocol

  1. Tap the Quick Action button (+) in the navigation bar and select Add Protocol.
  2. Configure your protocol:
    • Choose your Protocol Type:
      • Structured – for scheduled shots
      • Freeform – for flexible timing and dosages
    • Enter your Protocol Name and add any Notes you'd like to view when recording a shot
    • Set the Timeline for your protocol and choose whether it should Auto-Renew
    • Add Peptides to your protocol:
      • Use Add Existing Preparation to locate and select the preparation you created
    • Configure the Preparation Details in your protocol:
      • Select the Dosage Amount
      • Set the Dosing Schedule:
        • Times per Day
        • Dosing Pattern (Months, Weeks, or Days)
      • Set your Reminder Preference
      • Enable Peptide Level Tracking to view estimated system levels based on dosing
    • Tap Save Preparation Details
  3. Tap Save Protocol

Recording Your Shots

  1. Use the menu button to select the Shots tab
  2. Scheduled Shots appear in blue
    • Swipe right to quick complete (or)
    • Click on the shot to open the Shot Details Menu and record your Injection Site
  3. The Shots view defaults to today's shots. Use the filter to view shots by protocol, date range, and status.

Set Up Health Tracking

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Select Daily Log Settings
    • Turn on the toggles for the items you'd like to make available when adding to your Log Entries
  3. Exit settings

Log Your Health Data

  1. Navigate to Daily Logs
  2. Tap + to create an entry
  3. Record your metrics and symptoms

PepTrac uses a tab-based navigation system:

  • Dashboard - Overview of your day
  • Protocols - Manage treatment schedules
  • Shots - Track individual doses
  • Analytics - View progress charts
  • Daily Logs - Record health data
  • Peptide Level Tracking - Estimated peptide levels and alerts
  • Preparations - Manage vial and pen preparations
  • Help - In-app help documentation
  • Settings - Configure app preferences
