What is a Protocol?
A protocol is your treatment plan in PepTrac. It defines which peptides or preparations you're taking, your dosing schedule, and tracking preferences. Protocols can be structured with automatic shot generation or freeform for flexible dosing.
You can add individual peptides or preparations to your protocols. Preparations are pre-configured vials or pens containing multiple peptides, allowing you to complete multiple peptides with a single injection.
Protocol Types
Structured Protocols are designed for consistent, scheduled treatment regimens. When you create a structured protocol, PepTrac automatically generates your shot schedule based on the frequency and timing you specify. Whether you need daily injections, weekly doses, or custom patterns like every other day, structured protocols handle the scheduling for you. Even with a structured schedule, you can always add unscheduled shots whenever needed.
Structured protocols can use Auto-Renew to repeat in cycles. Each cycle has the same duration and schedule pattern as the original. When a cycle ends, the next one begins automatically — the app generates the new cycle's shots and reminders in the background each time you open it, so everything is ready without any action on your part. On the last day of a cycle, it also pre-generates the next cycle so reminders are ready on day one. See Auto-Renew & Cycles for details.
Freeform Protocols give you complete flexibility over when and how often you take your peptides. Instead of following a fixed schedule, you manually log each shot when you actually take it. This approach works well for peptides taken as-needed, treatments with variable dosing based on how you feel, or situations where your schedule changes frequently. Freeform protocols still track all your doses and provide the same progress monitoring as structured protocols.
Protocol Status
- Active - Currently running protocols that generate shots and reminders
- Archived - Completed or paused protocols kept for reference. Can be reactivated at any time
